What model do I have 2wd or 4wd

I have a charcoal gray 2009 pathfinder SE. It is in rear wheel drive unless I switch it to 4wd high or low.
I bought rotors and pads on amazon. They told me the rotors/pads are for 4wd models only... wtf? Aparently they have it for 2wd also. Can anyone shed any light on this...?

I you have a selector for 4WD then you have the 4WD model. There is a 2WD only version of the Pathfinder and it has a different sized rotor I believe.

Brakes are something I wouldn't go cheap on.

Nissan shows two, front brake pads for the 2009 Pathy: one for the V6 and one for the V8, which has a larger rotor and different caliper. It doesn't have anything in the specs about RWD or 4x4, so I'm pretty sure they are the same.
I'm not one to cheap out on brakes, either, as much as I love a discount. If you want a really good set of pads that won't bust your wallet, try Wagner OEx #OEX1094 for $31 from Rockauto.com. I have them on the front of my 2008 Pathy SE 4x4 and they work very well!

Same goes for the rotors. Cheap ones will warp in no time causing a nice front end shimmy.

I had purchased Wagner rotors for my 2008 years ago and never had any issues with them. Much later, I spent more money to get a set of Raybestos Professional Series Advanced Technology brake rotors for my 2006 and now under hard braking I get some pulsation. Both had the same pads: Akebono Pro ACT ceramics. It doesn't really mean anything, but as much as you don't want to buy cheap rotors, it doesn't necessarily mean you'll get better performance out of more expensive ones!

I've had the Wagner OEX1094 since last November. It's been great so far. Best part is less brake dust. I can go over 2 weeks without my front wheels turning black

why is it that there is always more brake dust on the front wheels...
logically I would distrubute the pressure on the pads evenly so they break evenly...
but maybe it has to do with the center of mass being closer to the engine - you would not want to be braking as hard in the back... just thinking out loud...

70% of your braking is done by your front brakes. You have to consider the forward momentum of the vehicle as you are braking.
