As some of you have already noted in the Gibson Exhaust install thread, Stillen has come out with their Eaton roots blower for the VQ40 Nissan trucks. http://www.stillen.com/product_detail.aspx?sku=407400

We're going to install one on my Pathfinder and do a big write up and online video for the Spring issue of Nissan Sport Magazine. I've got to be careful about what I divulge here before we actually go to print so I don't not piss off my editor, but I'll try to leak as much as I can

That would be awesome to read. I read through the install instructions and while it doesn't sound difficult per-say, its a lot of cutting and modifying that i'm not quite willing to do. Since I can't seem to find it could you list your current configuration on your Pathfinder? Interesting to know if your putting this on a stock or modified Pathy.

From a power standpoint I'm bone stock. In the winter issue of Nissan Sport Magazine I talk about installing the bumper guard, spoiler, and off-road driving lights, plus switching all the lubes over to synthetic.

Thats awesome man. I thought I was safe from power mods by going to an SUV, but that charger would get me right back into racing. Can't wait to see how that goes.

Can't wait to see the pics and the numbers from the dyno. There will be a dyno test right? Need a baseline first just so we know what our stock trucks are getting to the ground.

Just did a dyno a couple days ago, roughly 220HP to the wheels and 240lb-ft of torque. I also did some 0-60 runs last night, did four 6.8 second runs in a row, the VQ40 is bloody well fantastic stock once it's broken in.

6.8??? 4x2 or 4x4? I'm not getting anything close to that, you doing anything special on your launch? I'm running a 4x4 and It doesn't feel like I'm even in the mid 7's.

It's an SE 4x4. Just the slightest bit of double-footing the launch, but no major pre-loading of the torque converter. VDC off. Reasonably cool weather, 60F. Freshly filled tank of gas, plus me, truck weighed in at 5120lbs. Turning on the 4x4 wasn't necessary, no traction issues, though I did try it for fun as I expect to need it with the SC and I got the same 6.8 second number with my GTech Pro Comp accelerometer.

Running 4WH on dry pavement , I take it thats just for straight line?
After Krnnerdboy's front diff experience (and a few other X's) out there I have a sinking feeling in my stomach about putting that much more power through the stock diff's.

Hahahah...yes, absolutely just in a straight line with the 4x4 turned on.

Wow, 6.8 is smoking. I know these trucks are strong off of the line, but that is really quick. I always assumed mid 7's because my previous car was quite a bit faster so I was going by direct comparison.

4x4 high should be fine in a straight line for a quick jaunt to 60mph. Krnderboy's experience was in 4low, which makes for a LOT more power through the diffs due to the lower gearing at the T-case. You have to figure that roughly double the power is avaliable and comes on quicker do to the fast reving at low gearing.

Today's the day of the install. I can't wait to see pics and hear how it all went. Plus the dyno numbers. You must feel like it's Christmas a week early.
