The Nissan Path

I am attempting a transmission replacement and would like to ask the knowledge of our forum. Is there anything I should know before doing this job myself? I have had previous experience in changing later model domestic transmissions and engines . The main thing i am worried about is the programming aspect of the re manufactured trans. 2009 V6 Pathy SE. Is there any computer work to be done with a removal and replacement of the transmission?

The TCM is mounted to the valve body inside the trans and will need to be programmed to the vehicle it's going into.

Awesome thanks for the info smj. I will not being doing the R/R myself since there is a little more technical work than i would like to mess up. LOL.
