2008 V6 question

Hey guys.. quick question

my niece has a 2005 Xterra with the V6 / automatic transmission. Last week a quickie lube shop replaced her u-joints and now last night her car wont hardly move.

Cranks up ok, put in in drive and it stumbles and makes a drilling sound; it will move some but barely. I hope its not the rad/tranny fluid mixed..it supposedly had the fix done to prevent it.

Any clues as to what this could possibly be? I know its not the correct forum, but it has the same engine set up as my Pathfinder and Frontier.

Thanks

Well if it drove fine before the shop did the service and now a day later it does not, I'd say take a look at the drive shaft with the engine off. Maybe they did the job improperly (ie didnt torque to specs or over tightened, wrong u-joint) or something broke.

?I had no idea they actually did anything aside from fluids and filters. I hit these places once a year for emissions, and even sitting in the waiting room scares the crap out of me, simply for all the BS they spout off to customers & their obvious lack of automotive knowledge in general. Since you are having problems right after this visit, one can only assume that they did something incorrectly. If it were me, I wouldn't even go back to that shop. Take it to a mechanic who actually knows what a u-joint is. Hopefully they didn't really mess up anything.
