ran over a plastic bag...now ABS, SLIP, and VDC OFF lights

so i ran over a big piece of plastic by accident, found out after i cut and ripped it off from my rear axle, that it was a plastic garment bag. my abs, vdc off, and slip lights all came on and stayed on even after i cut the bag off of the rear axle. nothing was damaged except that now there is a 1/4 inch wide gap where the axle goes into the center box, i think its the transfer case, but i dont know much about autos. not sure how to proceed
