Engine removal 06 Pathy

Hi.
Im gearing up to swap engines in my 06 pathy 2.5 dci R51 and was browsing through the Haynes manual to see that it says that this engine and transaxle are designed to be removed as one unit from underneath the vehicle !
Does anyone know if the engine can be taken out from above as I don't have a lift.
