VQ40 Powered Smoke Machine

When ever i start my pathfinder, it smokes out the entire yard. It continues to erupt smoke until it warms up at which point the smoke dies down but still is coming out. It went from being full to having 1 Quart overnight and burned it off. When you floor it (there is a lack of power and requires being floored to get going) smokes very bad. What could be wrong? Stem seals? Rings? It has 194,xxx and it was not maintained very well before i got it. (oil changes once a year at most)
