dismal fuel mileage - 270 miles per tank?

2010 4.0L LE with 90k miles.

I am getting absolutely dismal fuel mileage - around 270 miles per tank.

Although this is mainly city driving, when driving on the highway it doesnt get much better.

Any ideas what can be causing this? My tires are inflated properly, and the only ECU code I currently have is P0442 (EVAP failure). Anything else?

What maintenance items should I address? The air filter looks clean? When should the plugs be done? Throttle body cleaning? MAF cleaning?

Are you running out at 270? or rather the light is coming on?
When the light comes on you have about 3-4 gallons in my experience.

Also for in-town with traffic when it comes to milage all bests are off anyway..

With my short trips in DC traffic I get maybe 13 ( tops) and consider it the price one pays of living in a highly urbanized area :D

I'm with palmerwmd 100%. I'm in Austin, TX and get around 14ish going to work and back. On good days I get 15. These V6's aren't the most frugal, but then again, the vehicle weighs about 4k lbs. I just recently hit the 270ish mark after SeaFoaming it and using some Berryman. Prior to that I was getting about 240-250 a tank.
