Just picked up a 2010 - common issues?

Hello folks,
I just picked up a 2010 PF LE with 114k on it. Nothing appears wrong. I put 600 miles on it in the last 24 hours and it runs strong.
That said - from a preventative standpoint - is there anything I should know about?
My only complaint is gas mileage. My 2008 seemed to do better...
Thanks!

If you have a 2008, you already familiar with the common issues that "may" occur on the 2005-2010 R51: fuel sending units, upper timing chains eating the tensioner faces, radiator internal trans cooler failures. The typical R51 "bugs" weren't totally worked out until the 2011 model years. If your 2008 wasn't an LE trim, the biggest differences will be that the LE has the AUTO mode transfer case (which takes a lot more fluid when servicing), the ADP seat memory on the driver's seat and the faux wood grain interior pieces. Outside of that, they are pretty much the same.

So how much exactly is the auto mode transfer case capacity compared to the standard 2/4wd? Transmission capacity & fluid are the same?

Also (if I may) I know you use Valvoline max life syn trans fluid, what do you use in the transfer case ?

Nissan calls for NissanMatic Type "D" ATF in the transfer case, but I use the Valvoline Maxlife Full-synthetic ATF in the transfer case and also in the power steering, as well.
Transfer case capacity is 3-1/8 quarts for the AUTO mode transfer case, compared to 2-1/8 quarts for the "standard" transfer case. Transmission capacity is the same, regardless. If you have any more questions regarding capacities, they can be found in the owners manual. If you don't have one, you can access an online manual here:

Yes, it was standard and only available on the LE. All other trims with four-wheel drive have the standard transfer case.

Is it important I learn this stuff?
And how do I tell which transfer case I have?

If you have an "LE," then you have the AUTO mode transfer case. On the transfer case selector switch, it will also say ""AUTO." Otherwise, you have the standard transfer case.
