Does anyone have these 2 recommended tools to rent or borrow for the 4.0 timing chain job?

If I have to buy them I’m gonna set up a rental program. No one has them for rent locally and I’m only gonna need them for this job.

The only one you really need is the ring gear stopper. Instead of using the tensioner foot press, I just use a set of Channellock pliers with a piece of towel or leather to protect the plastic from the teeth of the pliers. Some people...apparently those with stronger hands than I...have claimed to use just their hands to push on the tensioner foot onto the tensioner plunger.

regarding the secondary timing chain shoes - I just swapped out the metal post with the shoe attached with what was in the car.

the kit I ordered came with a complete chain tensioner so I slid the post with the shoe attached out of the assembly (there is a spring inside and it's loose, so watch out) and into the existing tensioner in the car.
