06 Transmission Swap

New here. Testing the waters.
I have an 06 Pathfinder that the transmission has crapped out on. Down the road from me, there is a guy selling an 04 Frontier with a manual transmission. Can these transmissions be swapped???

The 04 frontier and the 06 R51 are different generationplatforms.
Both the Frontier and the Pathy became a new platform in 05.
So your Pathy is on F platform and the 04 fronty is the last year of the preceding platform.
I am not one of our mechanical gurus here but I would think that it would not be an easy plug and play as both vehicles are different gens and do not share a platform (if the frontier was a year newer it would be different.. (still a lot of working switching form auto to manual even then)

Where are you from? I ask because R51 Pathfinders in the US never came with manual transmissions.
