I finally got my Magnaflow exhaust system installed.
Take a look at the pictures. I have very positive comments I will post later. but do enjoy the pictures.
I think this is better than the Gibson system.

Looks like they did a good job on the install. How does it sound? Does it sound like the V8s with a deep growling sound? What is the muffler model # how much for the whole set-up? What size are the pipes? Thanks.

Overall I am very pleased. Its only been 2 days.
well, my observations about the Magnaflow exhaust system.
the muffler is 2 inlet and 1 outlet.
as you can see from the pictures, the 2 piping into the 2 outlet is a lot better compared to stock. No restrictions to flow.
muffler is 22" long. 2.25 dual inlet/2.5 outout. 5x11 oval. satin stainless universal muffler.
I had a chrome tip installed. its a 3" tip. The only stock pipe I left on is the piece before the tip. Either the muffler guys are too lazy or its really difficult to make one.
between 1500-2500 rpm it has a nice low deep sound. sounds like it has a V8.
at freeway speed, its not noticable at all. cruising at 65-80 mph, there is no humming inside or annoying sound. you can actually carry on a conversation without the muffler drowning you out. of course you still hear the muffler as you rev up but not to the point that its too loud.
with the stock pipe you got a lot of resticted flow and when you floored it you hear a lot of engine sound. but with the new piping, when you gun it you hear it in the back not up front.
more comments to follow later this week...

low end feels great.
with better piping the air flow is a lot better and makes accelerating even better. (fun also)
I also notice my gas mileage somewhat has improved. I will have to monitor that and report my findings.

By all means, post your findings if the mpg has improved. Nice looking setup, btw. I might just have to start a new list of mods, with this being at the top. Too bad you don't have any dyno numbers from before & after, but an increase in mpg would probably offset any negative dyno findings (if any). Thanks for the pics.

Looks nice, I've been pondering the same kinda thing to replace my Gibson, but with a Spintech muff.

would unplugging the battery reset anything with the new exhaust installed?
I was thinking along the line of air/fuel mixture.
maybe it would reset something so that its can perform with the new piping/exhaust.
thanks.

I disconnected my battery overnight after putting my Gibson on, in hopes that resetting the ECU would help the lack of power gain. I drove it very hard the next day, expecting it to re-learn it's A/F adjustments and stuff, but that evening the test showed I lost .1 seconds in a g-tech simulated 1/4th mile

YMMV...

so do you wish you did not unplugged the battery in hopes the ECU would reset the air/fuel?
now I am debating whether I should do it. its not like you can reverse it.

I would unplug the battery, used to do that on my modified Mustang GT.

No no, I have no fear that the ECU won't re-learn back to where it was in due course, there's no harm in it at all.
