What octane gas do you use?

What octane gas do you guys use? Just curious to see what most use in these forums...

Your poll left out 85 and 88. I typically fill up with 87 or 88, depending on where I'm at & the gas available to me. If I know I'll be in low elevations for a while, I might bump that up to 89.

Usually 87 unless I'll be towing or hauling through the mountains. I have found some 87 that runs as good as most other premiums so I try to buy at those stations when possible.

interesting. i assumed more would use 91/93 since the manual recommends premium

the manual for 2005 and 2006 recommends 87 octance. they change that for 2007 and up i believe.

strange don't remember reading that at all on my wife's '06 SE manual. guess i should check again

It recommends it "for maximum performance". I don't notice a huge difference unless I'm towing and the mpg doesn't seem to change when empty.

the only vehicles I notice a difference in are high performance vehicles and motorcycles. Both usually cause of high compression engines.
Unless you push the PF hard all the time or tow all the time 87 should work more than fine.

Premium in Hawaii is 92.

Only 95E and 98E are available here. I use regular 95E (RON 95; MON 85–86; AKI 90–91) and it costs about 1,1€/Liter
