You guys know I have been looking for a solution for the shuddering and other symptoms for about 9 months now, well finally carried it to dealer and now they said I do have cross contamination. It has been steadily getting worse with shuddering at all speeds now and at 76k on the clock . I had the tranny flushed at 66k and they said no evidence was found of cross contamination. At about 70 we started noticing something going on so it has probably been contaminated right after the tranny service or maybe before.

Nissan is paying for the whole deal as per warranty. Will have it back Thursday.

Dealer said more people have been coming in with this as of late. Also stated that Titans have been having this issue as well.

What is the "shuddering" you mentioned? My 06 shudders randomly when I'm sitting at a light, in gear, with my foot on the brake.

Now that is a different shudder that I have too and the dealer said it was normal for all Pathy's and Titans. To me it seems a bit rough though.

I get that low idle rumble also at times but it has nothing to do with the tranny shudder at speeds of 40mph and up.

ok...good to know. I think mine only occurs when the A/C is on, which is all the time in Houston.

can you say that the shuddering is at 2000 rpm?
I started a thread that I descibed as vibration at 2000 rpm. idle or moving, i can feel it.
too it in to dealer and they looked it over but could not discover the problem. I just had the secondary timing shoes replaced.
I was thinking possible tranny issue.

I have a 2008 LE, do I have to worry about the tranny contamination issues? I have experienced some shuddering when slowly accelerating at around 40mph but I really didn't think much of it.

ours in the shop now having u-joints replaced for vibration once you get right around 40mph ......

it also idles very rough and has since the day we bought but i thought maybe Pathfinders just idle rough ..... found out while its at the shop it needs motor & tranny mounts replaced and the cause of the rough idle, but those are not covered on my ext warranty i purchased through the bank and they are $100 each plus 6 hrs in labor cost, so i said no thx, i'll keep the rough idle!!!

man this thing seems like such a lemon since we purchased! it had 87k miles when we bought it and now has 105k

I have 58k miles on it. Still under warranty so I can bring it into the shop to check it out. What do I tell them to look at?

rather than tell them what to look at, you might start out by explaining the symptoms & your concerns
see if you can demonstrate the symptoms on a test drive with the dealership employee, usually a service writer
be sure to have everything documented

I just had my u-joints replaced too, at 72k miles. I have a newly noticeable vibration now, but I think that may be shocks or tires. But I'll look at the mounts too. But it kinda comes and goes and seems to vary with the road surface.
