Hi Guys, new hear and cant quite find the answers to my questions so here goes......
I bought a 06 Pathfinder with 170 000 k and had it home a few days and the Tranny went on it, the dealership(toyota) sent it to a Nissan dealership and they put in a new Transmission and Radiator, now my question is do I still dissconnect the tranny from the Rad or should the new job be fine?
As well, when should I be changing the timing belt-chain, how do I know it has not already been done?
Thanks in advance!

How long will Nissan cover their repair?

I'd do it.

The timing apparatus uses a chain. Although there is a known issue with wearing timing chain guides, the standard practice with the timing chain is to leave it alone until it needs fixing.

Agree with leaving the timing chain alone unless it's broken.

The new radiators have been corrected so they "should not" have the same issue as the one that failed.

Although plausible, nobody's ever been able to determine what changed. Was it a errant manufacturing process thats been corrected? I don't believe there has been a Part Number change...
