2007 Pathfinder, 70k miles. PO448 dealer advised that the following need to be replaced: canister assembly, valve assembly & canister filter. Quote $750.00. This will be third time for this repair. Dealer claims it is because our drive is not paved and "dirt" is plugging the valve. Vehicle purchased new March 2007. Sounds bogus to me. Anyone with this or a similiar issuer?

Time to find a new dealer? I wish I had more input to give you but that's all I have.

There's a Nissan TSB regarding this code. Refer the following link:

Thanks for the link. Dealer claims the specified repairs were made;but, the hose was being pinched by the spare tire (hose may have been too long with kit). Bottom line, we will see what happens.

One better...SES light has been on for a long while. Two different places have said catalytic converter and some gaskets. Dealer quoted me $2200!! Uh, No! Any ideas? Found a magnaflow converter for $83 think that will be ok? 05 has 121500 miles, going strong!!

I had an evap valve replaced under APC warranty but am sure they did not follow TSB. should they have done this?
They did sheer the bolt holding up the canister so I know they did that. I had an SES light on prior to replacement.
I am out of warranty now but should I be asking for this TSB to be done.

It should have been done, but whether they will do it now, is another thing.
