The Nissan Path

It has about 38750 miles on it. I'm concerned with what I'm reading about the Transmission/Radiator problem.

What can I do to ensure the vehicle hasn't already been affected by this problem?

I haven't found any work arounds yet but I've read about bypasses and switching out the radiator.

I wouldn't be too worried about it. An 06 with that mileage will still be under the extended radiator warranty(8 year/80000 miles). However, I would recommend doing the bypass or replacing the radiator when the warranty expires. Nissan actually has 3 tiered warranties for the radiator. All these include damage caused to other components (i.e. transmission).

8yr/80000 miles: no co-pay
9yr/90000 miles: $2500 co-pay
10 yr/100000 miles: $3000 co-pay
