Aftermarket fog lights

I have a 2012 PF "S" model so it did not come with fogs and with the driving I do in all weather I really need them. I have noticed some here have added oval or square fog/driving lights to the front lower grill area and this seems like a good idea for me. For one I'm not crazy about the cost of adding the factory kit and I have also found that many aftermarket fog/driving lights work much better then factory units. I was wondering who here has installed a set of fog/ drivers to the front grill area and if it works out for you?

If you search around, there's a guy that added some Hella's that fit perfect in the OEM opening and provide a lot more light. The OEM lights are pretty mediocre.

Sounds great but the DIY is a bit beyond me. My Altima had way better lights than my Pathy.
The new low beam headlights will be easy to do and better for the rig I guess.

A lot of people don't like the Pathfinder's lights but I don't think they're all that bad with clear lenses and good bulbs. I'm especially impressed with the stock fog lights. Keep in mind that fog lights aren't supposed to reach a mile down the road – they're supposed to light directly in front and to the sides of you.
There are LED bars that are made to go long and far but keep in mind this is going to reduce your visibility in poor weather.

I also have a 2011 S without fogs. I looked under today and did locate the plugs, so I only need the lights. Would these work...please see link to ebay. I'm just not sure if they will plug into the factory hole. I emailed the seller and he stated no hardware is included, so I'm hoping they would just click in place. Thanks.

The plugs may be there, but you may not have the switch.

From what I gather the S will need the stock control for the switch. So that would need to be changed the ? Is are the wires there and if so could a dash switch be wired in and used instead of replacing the entire light stock on the steering wheel?

I have a 2006 S that didn't come with fog lights. In November I purchased lights and installed them. Basically if you spend 5 buck and buy an in line fuse holder you can wire the fog lights to come on with your running lights. it literally took 5 minutes and works great. Found the thread...

This was really easy to do. The hardest part is getting the fake fog lights out.
