Airbag light blinking, Passenger airbag stays off!?

Ok, here's what's happening now. The airbag light started blinking. The next time I had someone in the front passenger seat I noticed it was still blinking and the indicator light was showing that the passenger airbag was OFF. So I know there's a weight sensor in the seat to make sure the bag doesn't go off with a child sitting there right? Could there be a bad connection to that sensor? Is there something I can check out on my own before handing my wallet to the stealership? I don't have a code reader. Thanks 2005 SE-OR 4wd

If you go to the service manual that's online as part of this site http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic.php?t=2 there's a procedure on page 37-38 of the restraints section. You can diagnose the airbag system by counting the flash patterns.

Mine did this awhile back and I was able to diagnose as a front crash sensor. When I googled the part I found out it was part of a recall so my dealer replaced it, no charge of course.

The repair manual on this forum only loads to about the page that lists "Refill Capacities" for me, any thoughts on that one?

I can only get it to open and work properly in Explorer.
