The Nissan Path

Hi I'm looking for any help on an issue I have, my 2009 Pathfinder malfunction indicator light came on the other day, there didn't seem to be any issues with the engine and had completed a 120 mile run the day before, I completed a ECU reset and the light went off for a few days and has just come back during a short 5 mile journey. Can anybody give me any possible/common causes for this light to come on?? I'd like to check any easy fixes before I have to get dealers involved.

You really need to get the trouble code read because there are a ton of them! Many auto parts stores will retrieve OBD II generic codes for no charge, so that's an option. Or, you could invest about $60 and get your own code reader, available at most auto parts stores and department stores with an automotive section. Post the stored trouble code(s) and we can see if we can help.
