Driver side front window motor bogging down

The electric motor for my front driver side window's been sluggish lately. It seems to be struggling more and more to push the window up.
Has anyone had an issue like this? Is there any possible remedy other than replacing the motor? If that's the only fix, has anyone attempted/done it before?
