My LED bulbs came in. I decided to purchase LED bulbs for my reverse lights and license plate lights. For the reverse lights I ordered the Projector LEDs and for the license plate I got some other high powered LEDs.

I did some research and seen that the JDM ASTAR LEDs are some of the best so that is what I ordered.

Projector LED's (JDM ASTAR Super Bright AX-2835 Chipsets 912 921 T10/T15 Backup Reverse Light Bulbs,Parking lights, Xenon White) :

I'll have install pictures later of them.

Overall they seem to be very well build LEDs. I have had just regular LEDs from ebay and these seem much better.

I tried each one of the bulbs in the reverse lights just to see how they look and it turns out the PX LEDs seem to work better in our reverse housing. I am assuming because the reverse light lense. I assume the way the reverse housing is designed it wont let the projector part actually project very far. Although the PX bulb seems to brighten up the area better.

I will try to take better photos tomorrow night.

Nothing I did is very scientific but just trying to give some photos to show how things look.

Looks good. I don't really have a complaint about the standard back up lights, but thought about doing this anyway. Your amazon links above are identical btw.

I can't see it in the pic, but I put those reverse bulbs in a year or so ago.
What I find is on the reverse camera I get some really bad "ribbing" of the light beam. ok I'm having a brain dead moment and can't think of the proper term...
You know, horizontal bright streak, dark streak, bright streak, dark streak.
From the back up light housing itself. (It's ribbed not smooth)
Do you also notice this?
I see some streaking but it doesn't look as strong as mine. Maybe it's the camera....

I get that with the projector LEDS but the other LEDS don't do that. I have both listed and pics of both.

I guess I don't know exactly what the difference is between a 194 and a 921 bulb, but I noticed the link above is for 194 but our backup bulbs are supposed to be 921. I think it may just be the length of the bulb? It looks like the same plug type. The 921 bulbs appear to be higher power as well (and more expensive).

Well I posted both links for each bulb. But I would say with our tail light housing the 194 is brighter then the 921 because the projector on the 921 gets defused. I would just buy that 194 cause they are extremely bright. I am sure if we had completely clear reverse lenses the 921 projector would be brighter though.

Ahhh I see. I was only looking at the non-projector and didn't realize the projector was a 921. I ended up ordering these for my wife's Acura MDX:

They're a little higher priced but supposed to keep it from throwing a bulb-out code. If they throw a code on her car I'm going to put them in the PF.

Those are the ones I have and I like more then the projector. Seem to be brighter imo.
