The Nissan Path

First time since I've owned this car and I am trying to load CD's to no avail. Am I doing this right?

I press CD, then LOAD, then I select a number.
The CD changer makes some noises, I feed it a disk, and a few seconds later it spits it back out again. I think it won't let me load #1, but I'm not entirely sure.

How do I diagnose this? Does anyone have a guide or manual for this part?

You hit the load button, it'll ask you what disk and you press the appropriate # and it'll tell you to insert the disk. There really isn't much diagnosis on it if it's not working correctly and assuming you are using good CD's. There are places that can repair Nissan Bose units, including Bose Corp. You can Google it.
