Dash Climate control knobs not working

have a 06 PF and the knobs for the climate control are very touch and go. Right now I can no longer close the recycled air when pressed. I live in Arizona and the summer heat is coming up and just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I have taken off the knob but can't see anything that is affecting this.
