So the rear wiper motor turns on but will not shut off with the switch goes back and forth about 5 or so times and then randomly stops and won't turn back on for a few minutes. I replaced the motor cause that what the dealership diagnostic department said it was but big surprise it didn't fix the problem. any thoughts? Maybe a relay if it had one and if so where is it located

Am having similar issues with mine. It has simply stopped working now. Wife wants me to buy a new rear motor assembly, but I am hesitant. Your post makes me moreso.

I want to do some basic diagnostics before I start shot gunning parts at it.

It's likely the relay is in the IPDM and is controlled by the BCM. To test it, you need to follow the diagnostic procedures listed for the wiper system in the factory service manual.
