The Nissan Path

I've got a 2012 SV with 36k miles on it. This morning the center console controls (radio/hvac) just stopped working. The display turns on, and the AC blows cold air through the defrost vents but that's all. I can't turn the radio on, or control the HVAC. The center display unit is asking me to eject a CD, but pushing the eject button does nothing! I suspected a possible battery issue (although it started fine) since the terminals had lots of corrosion buildup on them and so I replaced it, but that did no good. I checked all the fuses and they're fine. So I'm out of idea's at this point. I'm about to take it to a mechanic, but I was hoping someone has seen this before.

disconnect the battery for a few minutes and then hook back up.
