2011 Path Silver Edition V6....replaced the battery not too long ago and notice that now every time i start it up, everything is reset to what it was prior to changing the battery....case in point...my 6 CD changer always goes back to disc 2, track 6, at the 1 minute mark. my fuel economy reading resets to 15mpg, my clock goes back to the time i disconnected the old battery, and the climate control goes back to the same temperature as well. everything else is in perfect working condition after the battery change.

any ideas?

dirty or loose terminal connection. Take them off and clean up the new terminals and the old connectors. New terminals have a coating on them that needs to be scratched off so a terminal brush or wire brush will work, or even steel wool. I would start there and see if it happens again.

i will definitely give that a shot. thank you for the quick reply. the odometer and trip A/B readings dont reset. neither do my radio station presets. i dont know if that gives you anymore insight into what the problem could be.

Dibo...slightly off topic...do you have any pictures of the double din head unit that you have installed? the center unit in the pathfinders are so big, im interested to see how you went about getting that done and what the finished product looks like.

sorry about the long responce time, i will throw up a picture right away.
I used a trim kit for the finish that i got at best buy. only had to use a very small trim piece from it and the rest went in the trash, lol.

Cleaned the heck out of the battery terminals but no improvment...
The special fuse seems locked securely in place.....

Just got the estimate from the dealer $2200 to replace the stereo unit which is the module that drives everything..

I think I'll deal with wrong presets for a few years

All. That stuff for me comes from my gauge cluster not the radio. So I don't know what to tell ya. :?

My interior looks like this (except since its not an EL no Nav function in the screen but I have the same screen.
Supposedly its the radio thats causing the issues with the clock and mpg memory etc.

My concern with an aftermarkt radio is that it wont be able to control these fucntions on the screen:

Just adding my $0.02 :)

Replaced my 5 year old OEM battery yesterday with a Walmart EverStart Maxx 35N.

Only thing that I had to reset was the clock. All my radio presets, maintenance reminders, and MPG were still there. I had the battery out for about 30mins. I was taking my time to clean all the terminals, battery cover and the tray. I even replaced my OEM headlight bulbs while I had the battery out and had more room. I even repainted the battery hold down brace

The traction control light did come on, which is normal if you remove the battery. It turned off after a few mins of driving.

EDIT: I also noticed yesterday that my A & B Trip Meters were reset.
