Instrument cluster LCD display went out...

Yesterday suddenly the right LCD display (odometer) in my '05 didn't display anything. After pressing the odometer reset button, the text came back so no worries.
However; this morning the display again didn't show anything and the button didn't help. After driving for half an hour; the left display (4x4 display and temperature) also suddenly went out.
I tried turning of the ignition, waiting a while and restarted and also hit the dash a few times but nothing. My search on this forum didn't find anything related; is this something I can fix myself?
