LED - Exterior Lights

I bought some LED's a few years ago to replace my interior lights...They worked great! Now I'm looking to replace the aging bulbs on the exterior with some brighter LED's.

Does anyone have recommendations on a good vendor?
Also, what color did you go with?
I see white, red and amber as options.
Do I buy red for the taillights or will white work since the lens is red. :?

Help!

You will need to add some resistors to the signal lights or else you will have the "hyper" flash problem.

Good catch, nice that it's all pathy specific, seems like a good database for bulbs.

Thanks for all the good info guys!!

I did not go crazy and replace every bulb...yet.
But I did buy the OSRAM LEDs front blinker/marker at O'Reilley's.
I also had to buy the load resister kit.

So $45 later, I have a LED bulb that is not as bright as the original bulb when lit up as a parking light, but is brighter then the original as a blinker. AND it draws less voltage AND supposedly lasts longer.

Was it worth it...probably not!
But since I ripped all the boxes and sprayed liquid tape all over the wires, I couldn't really return it!

Passing along some good info though...
You need to wire the green to the black when installing the resister for the front blinkers!

LEDs for license plate

I've tried LED lights on my 2008 Pathy with no success , hyper-flashing and such issues.

What I would like to do is replace the rear license plate light with a bright white light. I've seen this on some other vehicles and they look rather sharp. Any ideas on vendors for a good quality replacement?

Thanks in advance.

I second superbrightleds.com I've ordered a fair share through them. Had one failure and they were fantastic to work with.

I've actually been looking at these http://a.co/9BfFUdK for the license plate lights and the rear hatch. I tried some off brand ones that my brother had lying around and they killed the rear lights unless I was braking. Swapped back in the regular ones and the rear lights came back on again.

LED bulbs

I installed some LEDs for my licence plate - looks great, super bright but the problem is they're so bright that they affect the rear view camera. The bulbs are super bright and shine into the camera, so what I do when backing up is turn the lights off in order to see what's projected on the screen.
