2011 silver edition back up camera not working

Wife just called to tell me the back up camera quit working. Everything else like radio and climate controls work just fine until you put transmission in reverse and then the screen just goes black. Any known issues with this? I would suspect the umbilical cable from body to hatch but who knows. Thanks in advance
