Blower motor dead? Or is it a resistor? 2010 LE

My 2010 LE with auto climate control had the fan for the heat / AC go out.

For a week prior the blower was making a bit of a squeaking / chirping noise.

Is it possible that the entire blower motor died? Or is there a common resistor issue with these?

The blower does not work on any speed setting for both heat and AC.

Make sure there isn't something in there keeping the fan from spinning.

The motor has a failsafe that prevents continued operation if it can't spin.

In addition, do you basic checks. Take a 12v test light, unplug the blower motor and see if there's power and ground. If so, pull the motor assembly and see if anything is causing it to be stuck. Most of the time, the cabin air filters should keep debris out of the fan assuming rodents didn't get in there.

Thanks for the input all.

I pulled the blower, and hit it a few times, and reinstalled and it worked.

It was getting power, and it had resistance across the leads before I hit it and reinstall it. I wonder if there is a way to oil it?
