Dash 0000000000

Postby Graham W » Mon Mar 25, 2019 12:06 pm

I had the flashing ‘oil low’ and can today, the oil was changed a couple
of weeks ago, seen it once just after and it stopped.
Oil level is spot on, so I’ll change the sender oil switch.

But as I’ve been watching the dash I did notice today a row of zeros
where the miles are displayed, vanished after starting the engine.

The reset for the oil is in the maintenance section of the head unit??
Any ideas ? I did a Google but couldn’t see anything

Cheers all

Just taking a shot at this..:
Were u inadvertently resetting the dash backlight?
That shows as 000000 while you do it...

Don’t know how to alter the dash backlight.
But was just turning the ignition on to drive off as
normal when it pinged up.

I went back and checked with the lights on and I think you were right?
Not that I was turning the dial at the time of starting the truck, but earlier
In the day I had reset the mileage to zero, so wonder when the lights were off, and then at dawn the auto lights came on and the button had stuck a little.
And at least now I know how to turn the dash up lol
