My Bose is giving me a "Cant read disc" error

For all discs.
Just started yesterday.
At first I "fixed" it with a restart but now it read 'error" al the time.
I dont want to replace the stock unit.
Anyone here had good (or otherwise) experiences with a stereo shop fixing the Bose?
