Can blinker 3-times auto be reprogrammed to 5-times?

Hi,
my 2010 Pathfinder has nice feature of blinkers to auto blink 3 times, then stop. But I find it a bit too short, at least 4 or 5 times would be just neat. Anybody has an idea if this can be preprogrammed to 5 blinks?

Nope, that's hard-coded into the BCM firmware. I've had customers ask the same question and I've never found a configurator for it on any Nissan model.

Is this factory programmed?
My 2011 doesn’t have the auto blinkers for either directions.

It's not exactly "auto", what the OP means is getting 3 blinks when the stalk is pushed to the "momentary" position in between "off" and "latched on". On older Nissans that will turn on the blinker momentarily till you release the stalk. On newer ones, if you release it immediately you get 3 blinks. The program code for that is factory programmed into the BCM, so your BCM will either have it or not.

Thanks - you’re totally correct.
I should have been more clearer with my previous post.
When I just “tap” the turn signal/light stalk without latching it into position, it doesn’t do the 3 blinks like I’ve seen other cars do.
I was just curious if this was a feature on any years of the R51 platform? If it, any way to program it into the BCM?

Not to my knowledge. If memory serves the R51's all had SEC's, which were sort of the BCM's prehistoric ancestor. The SEC's had control over stuff like the dome lamps but not external systems like the blinker. The blinkers would be a traditional flasher relay directly triggered by the combination switch. If you want to give some MMY details about your ride I can pull up the diagrams and confirm it.

I appreciate the offer. If it isn’t too much of a bother, would you be able to confirm please with the wiring diagrams? My Pathy is a 2011 Silver Edition

Shoot, I dunno what I was thinking. The R50's are the ones with SEC's, R51's are all BCM. So on your '11 it's in the BCM firmware. Brain fart, sorry.
