So I was looking for more sound in the Pathy, but I love the room in the back and don't want to waste it up with a standard sub box, even a truck box. So I was looking at this little Bose speaker that is Bluetooth (so is myhead unit).
If you've ever heard one of these things they put out amazing sound. My question is if you found a place to mount this, or I'm even thinking of cutting it into the side panel in the back, 3rd row, under the cup holder area, could you somehow splice the 120V wall plug wire into another electrical component in the vehicle that would #1 keep it charged and #2 turn it on/off with the vehicle? Thoughts??

If this sounds anything like the Bose wave radios then I know the sound quality will be excellent. But this speaker will not give you any substantial bass. It's only about 20 watts, I'm sure the stock sub puts out more than that. It's also only rated up to 113°F. The interior of a car during the summer can easily reach 140°. I wouldn't install any speaker in a vehicle that wasn't specifically made for it. Have you checked out the Infinity Basslink powered sub? It has the amp and sub all in one package. I also think Kenwood makes one that is designed to go under a seat.
