Has anybody installed or played with a really loud horn, like a truck horn or fire engine horn (NOT Sirens).
I thought it might be a "useful" tool to "wake up" texters.

Any thoughts or Ideas or Suggestions???

Not that I want a really loud horn to wake up people texting, but I would like to swap out my OEM horn, it's just very weak and whimpy.

Most of those "truck" horns incorporate an air compressor. You could try an old 6V horn from a 50's or earlier era car. Hooking it up to a 12 volt system will make it plenty loud!

Lot's of people seem to be rather dissapointed in the horn of our fair truck. There is actually a Topic started. http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtopic. ... light=horn

I will say that I feel for the size of the truck its rather disappointing. Its like Having a 6'5 350 pound body builder on steroids asking very politely to not cut him off.

It also seems to be a fairly standard tone across brands. I hear what sounds exactly like my horn chirping all the time when I'm out and about (parking lots or whatever). The offending vehicle is rarely another Nissan.

I've always personally wanted something like a semi horn, or better yet, a train horn.

In my old Jeep I had a 150 dB air horn. It was SWEET! It had 2 horns about 18" and 14" long with a compressor and 1/2 gallon tank. I wish I still had it for my Pathy. It was the same horn they put in dump trucks and semis.
