Cruise control works only for couple miles???

05,cruise control works only when start driving for couple miles,when go of when tying again it go off strait away ???
I'm starting to think we have 'car twins'! My CC started playing up about 2 years ago, now I hardly use it cos it just winds me up. Most of the time it won't let me set a speed. If it does set a speed it will cut out after 1 or 2 seconds like i've hit the brakes. On rare occasions it stays on and let me use it as normal (i'm talking 1 in 50 or less times).
As with your glow plug issue, i'd be keen to hear if you get an answer on this!
