How do u get to the bulb?
We all have the same kind right? push on the clear lens and light comes on?
Do you just pry the clear lens off?
Are the Dual ended bulbs rounded tips or loops?

thanks.

small screw driver on the side of the light, pry carefully it will pop off. the lights are a tube with pointed ends that go into 2 metal pieces that have small holes size of a pin head. then just put plastic covers back on with a snap.

I'm in the process of doing my interior lights as well. I'm going with these as recommended by a friend of mine.

I still need to measure the openings if it will fit. I might need to go down to either the 24 or 12 LED panels. :D

I used these throughout the truck for $6/pair:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006R0 ... 04_s00_i00

Fits perfectly, brighter than stock, very white, and won't blind you while driving.

I have one of those 48 LED panels coming from Amazon to try in the rear hatch light though. I don't think I want something overwhelmingly bright in the front two rows while I'm driving, but I'd like it for the hatch where I'm dealing with mountain bikes and equipment in the dark often...

8) Thank you for the suggestion. I was thinking the same thing about that 48 led panel up front.

Here's a good read about the different types of LED: http://www.flexfireleds.com/pages/Compa ... -LEDs.html

I think I might get these instead: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2X-White-31mm-6 ... c4&vxp=mtr

It has 6 5050 LEDs 8) The one you linked from Amazon uses the smaller 1210 LEDs.

The 48 LED panel I linked above has 5050 LED and it's rated at 240 Lumens

Yeah. It was twelve little ones or six big ones, or...all sorts of options.

I may go back later and order some of the six SMD 5050 units later, but I'm pretty happy with what I have.

Interestingly, the LED's indicate my switch has a very slight grounding issue in it. Never saw it with the incandescent, but when the switch is in the middle (auto-on for doors, security, etc.) position there is a *very* small glow from two LED's on the right side bulb.

Haven't been able to troubleshoot the unit yet, but I'd have never noticed without this.

One more question ShipFixer ... how exactly do I get to the bulbs. Do I pop out the entire light assembly or am I able to just pop out the lenses? Thanks 8)

Search. There's a thread on here that covers this, along with a few pics. Long story short, you can pop out the lenses. I did mine the hard way by popping out the housings.

If you look closely at the lenses there's slots for a screwdriver. Plastic in the housing is soft BTW, gouged mine a tiny bit. Definitely want to wrap the screwdriver in electrical tape or something...

The 48 LED panel is perfect for the hatch dome light. Super bright for loading and unloading, even in my well lit parking garage...

I just did my PF, changed the Front map lights, and middle dome light to these.

http://www.autolismo.com/led_festoon.html
31mm 1.5w bulbs.

Cargo dome light I put in one of the 4.5watt panels 3rd down on that URL.
Not the cheapest place to go, I went for local convenience.

The Cargo area is lit brighter than day now at night. One of the 31mm bulbs was DOA so I need to get it exchanged. I'll try and get some pics up tonight.

I also ordered a pair of 921 5w cree reverse bulbs.
What I didn't take into account was the plastic lens having those ribs so I get lines of light, but the guy behind you DEFINITELY knows you're backing up now. I may get a all around emitter bulb instead and use the housing reflector.

Again I'll try for some pics tonight.

Definitely recommend changing out the inside lights. =)
