Orange LED Strip in Wheel Well

I want to install these small LED orange strips inside the front of the wheel well on the pathy.

This guy did it to his pathy:

The idea behind this is having a rear facing orange signal light for safer lane changes. I think Porsche has done this as of late on some of their cars. Maybe I should have bought one

So my questions are :

1. Can I simply tap into the wires leading to the bulbs for each turn signal?
2. Is doing so going to blow a fuse?
3. Is this a 12V power source?

If you have any experience installing Led turn signal strips I would love some kind of a walkthrough. Thanks again everyone.

Here are the lights:

I say put them under the side mirrors.

Yes I thought about that as well. Maybe that might be easier to put them up there and then they would not get as dirty either. Any ideas on how to wire them up to work? Thanks

I found this video today:

It is for a Quest but I would think that the procedure might be similar. Obviously I will not be mounting mine on the front of the mirror housing like in the video, but rather somewhere in the housing facing backwards to the rear of the truck.

Any comments on the video and how this guy did the install? Thanks

interesting idea....

i wouldn't put them in the wheel wells either, they'd get to dirty i think.

as for wiring under the side mirrors, i don't think that would be -too- hard. disassemble the mirror, drill a small hole on the underside (which would be covered up by the strip when attached) to run the wires. i imagine there should already be a grommet for the mirror motor wires so you could piggy back off that to get into the door, then from the door use the existing grommet/rubber tube for the window controls/speakers/etc to get to the dash, and then from there wherever you're going to tie into
