LED Fog Lights? And...as DRL?

Curious if anyone has switched their fog lights out for LEDs (the whole housing, not just the bulb)?
Also curious if anyone has wired them up to operate as daytime running lights (whether switched to an LED fixture or stock)?

Ideally an LED bulb is plug and play, however I have yet to find any decent LED bulbs for cars.

I recently saw a couple of SUVs (I think they were Volvo but not positive) where the fog/driving lights were LED (looked to have 4 or 5 individual LEDs in each round housing) and thought "hmm...wonder if there is a replacement fixture for the Path that would look good and have decent light output?". These were running as DRLs during the day and I liked the look. They were bright in middle-of-the-day-Florida sun. Thus, my question about switching the housings to one with LEDs and then having them run as DRLs.
Of course, as I hinted...if the fog/driving lights could be hooked up to run as DRLs even if not switched to LEDs that'd be nice, too. I am a firm believer in daytime running lights for safety (I've noticed I see other vehicles quicker and easier when they have them, such as most GM vehicles and others) and thought the fog/driving light would be a nice way to have DRL on the Path.
It may not be do-able...or it may be do-able but more difficult than I'd like. Just curious, though.
EDIT: I did see the thread about someone changing their headlight housings to projector type and it had some LEDs in each housing that lit up during the day but I also saw they don't fit the '08...thus the question about the fogs...

i was looking at the lifetime leds recently to replace the headlight bulbs. the guys on clubfrontier and thenewx were talking about them a bunch.
i'll probably give it a while to see how everybody feels about them before I buy them

^^that site looks awesome. Too bad I just had my HID fogs delivered today. Interested to see them on a vehicle.

Yes, that looks like something similar to what I'd want. Now to research them a little...
