As noted, I have to replace the battery in my '06 immediately. Mine is a Nissan branded battery that is 4 years old if it was new when I bought the truck in '09 - or it's even older!

Need some recommendations. Thanks. :D

Walmart Everstart Maxx, Kirkland Signature, Interstate Megatron, and Diehard Gold are all good batteries. Optima batteries are very good and very expensive, but I have heard some say those available now are not as good as they used to be.

Consumer Reports just reviewed batteries in their last issue. For the Group 24 and 24F batteries, Walmart's Everstart Maxx was at the top of the list.

This is the battery I got as my first replacement. It started going after a couple of years and I called to ask about the warranty. They said it was fully covered and that they would take a new one up to the customer service counter for me to swap out. The next day I walked in with the old and walked out with the new, no questions asked!

My battery died today after 3 years. Went to Costco for a new one. Costco book recommended CCA 550A (Kirkland fitment 8 ) but all of those were sold out - we had -25 .. -30 degrees C last couple days. Guess not only mine did not like that temperature.
So I went back to car and measured plastic tray under OEM battery. It is actually 1" wider than OEM battery and it happens that it is perfect fit for CCA 700A (Kirkland fitment 27) and it is only 10$ more.

Duralast Platinum AGM is amazing. -30 F and it started the pf and helped jump a chevy 1 ton 5 min later. Good price for agm, good cold cranking amps and warranty is either 3 or 5 yrs. I cant remember.

I have one as well when my last optima crapped out after about 1.5 years. So far no complaints from me on this duralast.
