Looks like a good place to mount my Tekonsha Primus brake controllet. Anyone see any potential problems?

It's not an actual blank, but a pad for your keys to bang against. It's a softer material and you'd have to cut it out. I have my doubts that it's void behind the space as well considering it's so close to the seem in the panel.

I thought the same, pos location for a switch. But yes the keys will bumb it when driving. You can remove it with a screwdriver. Just 2 small holes behind it that hold the rubber posts from the pad.

Thanks guys!

This is a good example of why this is such a great forum. You are right that my keys would get in the way, especially if I needed to brake the trailer in an emergency.

BigEZ, you were right about being able to remove it with a screwdriver, pretty cool feature actually.

Not sure what Pathfinder you have but most likely the blanks are for heated seats and hill decent control.
