Are there any options for a winch mounting in the stock bumper? I don't want so go crazy with off road add ons but a winch and modest pump are on my list.

Thanks.

I saw one on the ClubFrontier.com forums similar to that for D40/R51's. It was sold at a company in Canada, but I can't remember the company.

I have thought of taking these pictures to a custom fab, just waiting for the cash to do it.

I think that thing is the cats ass. I had a quote from a custom fab guy for $450 without the "wings" on each side that extend behind the bumper. And that was for a 2" receiver that came out the bottom grille and the shackle mounts.

I was pissed when I heard he stopped making them. It's a great, simple product. Honestly I would probably go the 2" receiver route as well. I have no need for a winch 24/7. Plus my trailer maneuvering skills aren't great and having the option to push makes it world's easier.

This looks amazing. I doubt I have the skills to pull off a custom job like that.

I saw this whole thread. Looks amazing. How is this not available?? There are tons of Frontiers and Pathfinders worldwide!

I'd do a front receiver too but I do not want to lose any clearance.

I think the over-the-counter 2" receivers are overrated but modifying theRockyMtnX mount to be a 2" receiver would be awesome. No loss in ground clearance and can still jam a winch on there when needed. Or any other hitch mounted item for that matter (bikes, baskets, etc).

I had a 2" receiver on my Cherokee and found it very useful.

I have a 2012 Pathfinder.Yes you can install a hidden winch mount but you will have to cut the
front bumper a little. I bought the PRG products winch mount that is sold for the Xterra. You will
also have to drill two small holes in the winch for the front skid plate. The PRG mount bolts
perfectly to the front frame mounts[/img]Image[/img]

Pathfinder2012,

I just saw this and that looks great! Did you have to modify the Xterra mount besides the two holes at all to get it to fit? How many mounting points does it have to the frame?

The mount bolts up perfectly. It has 4 mounting points and is very secure. The only modification was for the front skid plate mounts. You have to drill to small holes and make two small L shape bracket to attach the leading edge of the skid plate. The hardest part for me was cutting the bumper, just take your time and test fit as you go. The picture will show you how far to cut. hope that helps.
