The Nissan Path

When I got this truck a couple of weeks ago the mpg display read 18.2.

I would reset it and duirng that drive it would display.
but anytime I turn the engine off (which you would many many times in the life of a tank of gas) it resets to 18.2 mpg.

So as a result I can never get a good sense of my mpg in current driving habits.

Is there a way I am missing to I can set it to not default to lifetime mpg after a restart?
I am still seeing 18.2 mpg after every start even after 3 weeks of ownership, but I want to look at my mpg by the current tank..
And a reset only seems to last until the engine turns off.

Any solutions in "settings" that I am missing?

i just responded to your last post about the cd player returning to track 1 cd 1....the same memory fuse controls both from what i have been told. my mpg resets back also.
