Second row cup holder - broken - replacement ideas?

Anyone come up with a clever idea for the obvious poor design of the second row cup holder?
I don’t like it just broken off.
Maybe convert to tiny storage area? Anyone try 3d printing their own cup holder?

I replaced mine once already but it's been broken again. They are about $55 on eBay. Agree that the design is not robust. The plastic at the hinge point is to thin.

Is there a heavy duty one. Maybe made of steel? Lol.
I think I would be replacing the stock one every month or so
