The Nissan Path

Hey guys. I'm going to be picking up a white 2012 Pathfinder LE for my wife on Wednesday. We looked at the 2013 and it looked too mini-vanish for us. We got a great deal on the '12 and jumped on it. So let the modding begin...

1. Does the Nissan emblem on the trunk have holes behind it or is it just held on by double sided tape?

2. I'm looking for aftermarket grills but all the ones I find are for 2005-2008 pathfinders. They LOOK very similar to the 2012 grill. Will grills listed for 2005-2008 Pathfinders fit my 2012? 3. Same goes for the headlights. I'm looking for headlights that have a black bezel instead of the chrome, but again all the ones I find are for 2005-2008s. Does the front bumper need to be removed in order to remove the headlights?

4. It comes with halogen headlights. Is there a particular HID kit that you guys recommend?

Ok so I did some searching and found 2 answers...it seems that the headlights are in fact different between 2008 to 2012 models. I also saw that people didn't have much luck with plug-and-play HID kits in the stock headlights. SO I guess I'm stuck with the stock headlights for now.

Anything that says '05-'08 likely won't work on your rig (or a 2008 because I've learned the hard way....). 2005 to 2007 is one bodystyle and 2008+ is another. Very minor differences in the grille/headlights...but they aren't compatible. I had to add auxilliary lights to get decent coverage. HID's didn't impress me at all, the optics are horrible in the stock lights.

Thanks for the info...so anything 2008+ will fit my 2012. Are parts (headlights and grill) for the Frontier interchangeable?

Anything that says 2008+ should fit yours. Not much available out there for some reason...but quite a bit for the 2005-2007. I've also seen stuff that SAYS it fits 2005+ but at least the front-clip stuff will not work. From what I've seen, the Frontier is different as well and doesn't match up with any Pathfinder parts on the front clip.

05-07 is the first generation of the R51. In 2008, Nissan did a refresh of the model and also made the V8 and option. To do this, they changed the nose a bit; it extends further and is more angeled than the 05-07 models, which is why the headlights and grille are different.

I have bought from them before and they have a quality product, but it was still crappy light in the PF due to the lousy headlight optics.
