Steering column cover

Anybody know how to remove the steering column cover? As usual with the "official" instructions they are incomplete. There are 3 screws to remove off the bottom but then the cover is supposed to just pull apart. I tried with all my strength and no separation occurs. Am I missing something? Thanks!
