Like the title states, who's got one and what are the specs on it, as well as how did you mount it onto your rig ...

I have a brush guard with a winch tray. Old pictures, but I've not changed that setup.

I see it's a Warn winch, what model is it, CE M8000?

Yes. What I really want to do is swap out the steel cable for the synthetic rope. However they want the same price for just the rope as buying a new winch.

From my brief searching, I've seen the "s" versions have the rope, and are comparably priced, lighter, and offer 100' vs 80'.

This is on their "entry" versions though, IIRC the VR series. Looks as if the series you have has all the UK requirements, and also is wireless if I'm not mistaken.

Looks as if I've decide to go with the M8000 by Warn. Just an FYI but they (Warn) is having a rebate until June 30 for a free recovery kit with every winch they sell. Supposed to be a 200$ value with shackles gloves and a tow strap.

This will be mounted to the TAG wincher I ordered back in March. Lets hope all installs well.

Nice. I've always wanted the recovery kit. Did you get the steel cable or synthetic rope?

I've heard many times these things tend to pay themselves off. I coulda used one in February.

Went with the steel cable just because of price. 85#'s according to UPS. Yeah, the recovery kit wasn't really the seller for me, but hopefully it will come in handy.

Looks as if it got delivered today. Now just waiting for the bumper.

Any updates? Would like to see the setup as I'm planning to add a bumper and maybe a winch also.

Waiting for teh bumper. According to TAG it should be here this week.

It's been 10 weeks since I ordered it, (Mar 29). Winch is sitting inside th Pathfinder.

So if you're getting it from TAG, better get a move on it if you want it before summer ends.

I've got an 08, so the cutting I'm sure will be interesting.

Went with something similar to this.

No hoop, no outer lights, and shackles instead of fixed hooks.

hey volvite,

did you do any cutting to install your bumper/brush guard? maybe some in the middle? or just remove the plastic skid plate?

doctahjones,

I actually bought the pathfinder with the brushguard/winch plate already on it. Yes the front bumper was cut to allow for the winch plate. If I were to remove that I would probably have to buy a new front bumper in order to sell the vehicle. There is plenty cut out to allow for the winch plate. I'll try and take some more pictures if you want.
