Ive read that replacing just 2 tires can be hard on the all wheel drive system.my wifes 2011 rogue.getting 4 new would push my budget, but dont want to shred the drivetrain.would it tear things up over time if I just got 2 new? Thanks.

It depends on the wear on the old tires. Remember every inch difference in diameter equals a difference in 3.14 inches in circumference. You don't want a great deal of difference in the circumference between the old and new tires because it "may" create issues with the ABS/traction control systems...and possibly the driveline if in 4WD mode. If there is not more than 50% wear on the old tires, you'll probably be fine, but, generally speaking, it's usually best to replace tires as a set of 4 on AWD and 4WD vehicles.

I've always gone with replacing all 4 tires when it comes to 4wd / AWD vehicles.
