Hi all,
New here so bear with me.

Had my Pathfinder since Feb 2012, and she had done 61k, she is now on 142k still going strong and still great to drive ------ However, I am now on my FOURTH set of front wheel bearings (failed the MOT yesterday)
Last set were replaced 11k ago. !!!!

Any ideas as to why she is "eating" them ??

Cheers in advance.

1) possibly poor quality replacement parts?
2) possibly poor quality installation of replacement parts?
3) possibly very poor alignment or modifications causing premature wear?
4) possibly doesn't like being called a "she"?

I recall my father refering to the family car as "Sally" But then he did grow up in the era of the "Tin Lizzy"

Are you getting a good 'seat' when you install the new ones? I had to clean up the seating surface with a wire brush and some sandpaper to make sure the bearing sat down properly. Then you also have to be careful when tightening the 4 bolts, to ensure the same, make sure it seats straight on the hub.

Are you running wheel spacers or offset wheels to widen the stance? That could increase bearing stress significantly. Could certainly exaggerate effects of being slightly misaligned.
